Sorry for the delay of ~7 hours, v1337 out now :3

Je, did take longer then exspected. But nontheless, here you go with the newest version of Industrial Awesomeness:

forum.industrial-craft.net

Changelog from 1.23 > 1.337 contains whole 77 changes. Be sure to read them all (posted in thread) to be amazed by the amount of fixed bugs. Gonna add a recipe list asap.

PS: Tip regarding new stuff:
Luminators can be powered by rightclicking them with battery/crystals, they store up to 10k EU now, which last for nearly 2 days. Or you place them upon cables. Take note they have different shapes depending on where you place them (on).
EU-Detector cables appear to be slightly buggy. We’re currently investigating why java refuses to work properly after a release, but never shows up issues during tests.

Nice 🙂 Been anticipating this update for ages.

  2. StandaxXx says:

My life is now complete and my F5 dead.

  3. Bultzen says:

    Thank you so much =)

  4. Blacksider says:

I thought this update will be for 1.0.0 . Then i will wait for the next update ^^

    • Jere says:

      I don’t give a **** i’ll backdate my minecraft version.. there’s somewhere a 1.8 save i think.
Thanks for that awesome work Alblaka. Im thinking of donate you something as soon as i have a credit card lol

      • Alblaka says:

You can try Minecraft Nostalgia or another backdater. Or just browse for an illegally hosted 1.8 jar, though i recommend former one.

  5. Shane says:

as i put the .jar int he minecraft mods folder and minecraft crashed back to desktop when tryin to load it ill assume it isnt for 1.0.0

    im sad again =(

  6. Marc010 says:

I really like the lappack 😀
And will the geo now output 30 eu instead of 15 ? :3

  7. MorganIsCewl says:

Hehe, I win without breaking my F5 key! GMT+12 FTW.
AND THE CHANGELIST. SO MUCH STUFF. AND SO MANY TYPOS. I would fix them, but A) I dun think I’m allowed to, and B) Can’t be bothered.
But good work, man! And you probably have better English than some I know… -goes to download-

  8. DanielPSP says:

    Great!

Haven’t played much, but it seems that the solar panels are not working anymore?
    Anyway, great work!

    • Alblaka says:

It’s not, by any chance, raining? Because then they will not work anymore :3

      • urmamasllama says:

alb im having the same problem and it is NOT due to weather. they seem to be pretty borked

      • DanielPSP says:

        Sry …
I can’t get them to work… None of them are showing that they recieve sunlight. and it’s not raining..
Also tried to break them, disconnect wires, nothing works, either in the server or the client..

      • Michael says:

I still got lots of energy while raining, but /thunderstorm/ caused them to output 0.

Unless they have /massively/ more internal storage than I thought…

      • Havear says:

I can confirm that they aren’t working. Mods used are BC and this version of IC^2.

      • Kalerion says:

Neither working for me on SMP…

    • Halmbad says:

I also cannot get solar panels to work anymore. I have tried several fresh MC/IC2 installs and placing them in different biomes. Nothing seems to work.

    • Cadde says:

Well, if they are truly broken then all i can say is GOOD RIDDANCE. 😉

  9. Dragoone says:

and a choir of a thousand angels sang of this day…..

now to rebuild my base to use luminators…..

    • Alblaka says:

With intentions to those with build bases: Just hit all yur torches and place lumis instead. They can now store 10k EU and can be charged by rightclicking them with battery/crystal.
Not as convenient as cable-powering, but probably more convenient then breaking holes everywhere to place cables in.

  10. PhothreeniX says:

You are such a baller Alblaka ♥

    • Alblaka says:

What does that term mean? :O

      • Cadde says:

A baller is someone who, according to urban dictionary, is:

“A thug that has “made it” to the big time. Originally refered ball players that made it out of the streets to make millions as a pro ball player, but now is used to describe any thug that is living large.”

        or…

“A person who finds success and wealth. The source of income is usually unknown by others, but can tell wealth by the “baller’s” attire and usually cocky attitude.”

        or…

“Livin large, with girls and money”

        etc…

Take your pick! But the way i understood PhotreeniX is that you are AWESOME!

        • Alblaka says:

But i neither got wealth, girls ( :/ ) or some big income. And i hope i’m not cocky either :O
Guess i should just take it as a compliment, though.

          • CommisarCain says:

You are definitely cocky, but seem to be less so as IC*2 grows. Weird.

          • Alblaka says:

            Aww :/ Damnit.
Mind pointing out the situations im being cocky about? I usually strive to obtain a good character, any sort of flaw must be fixed :O

  11. Jere says:

    how do the luminators work??

    • AndreyKl says:

just put them at the wall and right click with batery, or put at 32 EU cable.

    • Cadde says:

They luminate! (Emit light to such extreme levels that mobs catch fire next to them, though they are harmless to crops and saplings. And are one light level below sunlight at 14 light)

The easiest way is to place one and right click it with a battery. Or you feed it with a copper/tin wire from a low voltage source. They draw 5 EU/second (0.25 EU/t)

    • Michael says:

At the moment, I can’t get them to display a gui when right clicked… so I’m not sure. They also seem to be having issues updating to a light version…

  12. Spacemanbassman says:

I am blown away by this patch.
Nice balances, sweet debugging, and the efficiency gains are amazing.

can’t wait to learn java and the minecraft api (whenever it comes out :3 )

    Thanks!!!!

    • Spacemanbassman says:

Actually, one small problem. Solar panels do not seem to be working at all:
I tested in the day and night without rain.

  13. Snyke says:

What happened to the iron furnace way of making generators? Instead of it I saw an incredibly cheap way to make one. Is that intended?

  14. urmamasllama says:

I wish so many people wouldn’t have pushed you to release early because i feel that 1.337 isn’t ready i would have much prefered to wait for version 1.473 (get it?) and have a quality release
so far solars don’t work you can’t craft lap packs(but you can spawn them), lap packs and batpacks still have the auto refill bug (combo with mining laser for ultimate griefer tool)
i assume helmets still auto refill meaning nerfing their consumption was pointless.
you also can not turn or luminators with a redstone signal why? T_T
im not mad at you alb im mad at the people that pushed you to release early
    /rant

    • Alblaka says:

Jep, i’ve got no clue why the Solar dropped working, but we’re working on it.
Cannot confirm latpack being not craftable. Be advised, you need either a 100% full or 0% full batpack. Assuming you tried an “empty” one with somethign like 0.5% charge or something.
Appears my fix for the batpacks didn’t work. I assume you’re referring to them taking damage by falls? If so, it’s probably an issue with the Forge SpecialArmor hook, because within the hooked method batpacks cant take any damage anymore.

  15. wolfnacht44 says:

WHOOOO *Throws party* Now to find my 1.8.1 backups 🙂

  16. VoraciousPuma says:

Yay! Thanks for all the hard work!

  17. Karach says:

Three cheers for Alblaka and the whole IC2 crew. *Hip Hip Hooooooray!!! (x3)*

  18. Abuelo says:

Nice… but I play online in some different servers and I don’t want to get a mess changing files all the time, I prefer to wait (but it is a torture). Now with this version launched I hope the version for 1.0.0 will come soon. 🙂

Thanks for making an awesome mod.

  19. Slizyboy says:

Man, solar panels using circuits instead of cable? :'(

Everything else sounds awesome though! Just puts me at a disadvantage compared to the others on my server that made huge numbers of solar panels before me, now it’ll be harder to catch up >.>

    • Alblaka says:

Use Windmills, they’re far more effective either ways.

      • Apropos says:

Each windmill can technically produce more than a single solar panel, but they have to be spread out and at the top of the map. I have a solar array of around 760 panels out in a desert. It’d take an impossible amount of wiring to get that many windmills. working in one array.

  20. Deathstar175 says:

Awesomesauce, just in time for my Birthday today.
You Rock Albaka and everyone else who is working on it.

  21. Octave says:

SMP] Solar panels and Windmills are not working after update, they are just offline ;(

    • Alblaka says:

Windmills as well? That would be entirely new. Are you sure they are placed correctly? It’s REEEally easy to place them somewhere they cannot produce energy.

      • malacor17 says:

Windmills are working for me. Built them as soon as I saw my solar panels weren’t working.

  22. SyntaxErr says:

    Nice. Version leet :3

  23. artist says:

“CF Sprayers can now be used to “fill up” Scaffolds by rightclicking them. The foam will EXCLUSIVELY fill the scaffoldblocks (will drop scaffold). Easier to use for building stuff.”

    Awesome decision!
