Delay for next update

We’re currently trying to accustum to the new Forge version. For some reason the new fixed Armor-Hook we proposed got sort of missimplemented. Actually forge should sort of entirely null any sort of vanilla armor effects currently (feel free to test how fast zombies kill you whilst wearing a full diamond set, would love to get confirmation on this).

As known to you already, IC is currently not compatible with that “fixed new” hook and the actual fix we need for nanosuit ETC is still not in.
Most likely a missunderstanding, but unless that Forge version is fixed up, it’s sort of pointless to release 1.65.

It’s fixed up, we’re working on the 1.70 version.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. john doe says:

Will iridium ore be added in 1.65?

    • Alblaka says:

Iridium Ore already is in since a few versions. Assuming you mean the UUM-generated ingrident to craft Iridium Plates.
If you meant some sort of mineable ore, hell no? You don’t just mine the most valuable overpowered material of a hightechmod like you mine cheap diamonds!

    • Clearshot says:

say you added it and that its very very rare, but dont actually make it spawn because its so rare no one has found it naturally yet ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. schoon says:

any hope of a server crop fix in the next version? it was gutting when i found that bug with the updates…

  4. Sirbrandino says:

No harm done, I would rather a stable version than a buggy version anyhow.

  5. Altaree says:

Thank you very much for the update.

  6. Anonymous says:

Will you fix duplication bug with toolbox?

  7. Kane Hart says:

TBH, For me unless Advance Machines (Solar Panels) works right in SMP.. Well I will never be leaving from 1.0 hehe. I really think its time you guys added Advance Solar Panels in the 8, 64, 256 format. It’s pretty legit you save on a tiny bit of wire and you save on so much cpu… I mean my server been up for a month now and we got players hitting 3000-4000 solar panels. But thank god their only in 6-8 blocks and not 3000-4000 lol.

  8. MrJohnnZ says:

I am just glad to see an update to the blog about how far the update is going!

Keep up the good work guys, we can wait!

(according to Google Chrome blog isn’t a word…)

  9. DanielPSP says:

    Thanks for the update!
I will like a stable release better than a buggy one right now.

Keep it up! We will be waiting till its done ! ๐Ÿ™‚ Happy valentine tomorrow everyone, spend the day with someone special!

  10. Mikhail Kalashnikov says:

Take your time ๐Ÿ˜€ We all care for a stable release much more then bugs, keep up the good work!

  11. Letrange says:

Just out of curiosity – any chance at some point in the future we could use RedPower’s covers in the same blocks as the IC cables like we can do with the RP cables tubes and wires?

  12. HeadHunter67 says:

Imagine that – yet another Forge version that breaks what it was intended to fix.
And Lex had the nerve to impugn *my* intellect…

    • Alblaka says:

Now, people using their intellect in attempts to discuss other people into the ground could be considered less intellectual then people using their intellect for something beneficial :3

    • LexManos says:

Imagine that, a merge that was written not by me. In a closed submission to El. Without any real discussion and understanding. Breaking things because nobody actually knows what the hell it was supposed to do.

Now, after it got into my hands and had some real thought and discussion put into it it’s working.
      Better then intended.

Just goes to show why the old system of hidden/private feature requests is completely retarded. .. I wonder who could of seen that?

      • Alblaka says:

Jep, the today’s patch is much more useful then all previous ISpecialArmor things. Player’s already working on updating IC’s Armor :3 He loves the priority concept.

Many thanks for investing your work there.

      • Kane Hart says:

Fucking LexManos its always your fault! J/ks but thanks for your time you been putting into Forge for us!

  13. ryan says:

Thank you so much for you hard work.

Cant wait for the update. ๐Ÿ™‚

New minecraft map format is said to be prepared for mods with a max block id of 4096!!! Good news?

  16. JAF says:

whats the new 256 world height going to mean for wind power?

    • Alblaka says:

Wind Mills have a chance to break if providing > 5eut… place them at 256 and watch them fall apart :3
Depending on how high maps are generated (i assume sea level will rise in 1.2) they will probably produce “less energy per height level”, given they can be placed much higher, requiring players to tower up further :3

      • JAF says:

sounds like a challenge to make a complex bc or rp2 machine to automatically replace broken generators ๐Ÿ™‚

      • TheBoozehammer says:

Apparently, sea level will not rise.

        • JAF says:

probably a good thing the with mobs getting smarter and showing the faintest block breaking abilities(zombies smash doors on hard) I’m going to want to get as far away from the ground as possible cause who knows what the future will bring(hopefully not over world ghasts)

      • Kane Hart says:

As far as I know there will be no terrain generation changes in anyway related to height changes.

      • ghost2027 says:

new world height limit = new electric jetpack height limit :)?

  17. Samuel Smith says:

Since this seems to be a post to ask about things, is there any update on the integration of thermometer elements?

I would like to use it to create an automated system for cooling my nuclear reactor.

  18. JoneK says:

Well it seems like Mojang is finally ready to release their API, atleast 1.2 brings all kinds of improvements for modders.. Maby in the future there is no need for forge/modloaders..

    yey!

  19. CommisarCain says:

These changes are over due but, at least we are getting some where, even if its not the mythic API.

  20. MrJohnnZ says:

“Itโ€™s fixed up, weโ€™re working on the 1.70 version.”

    YEEEEEEHAR!

  21. john doe says:

sea level will remain the same, you can just build above the clouds now.

    • melis256 says:

and there are more Block IDs ๐Ÿ˜€
Finally Mojang get into the world of cubic chunks.
With some modding or some more development the worlds can become tenths of thousands of blocks high ๐Ÿ˜›
3-Dimentional procedural map generation is the future.
      I think we’ll need new chunk-loaders xD
Some Modding and tool development will get crippled for weeks :O

  22. john doe says:

Will any nether content be added to industrialcraft?

  23. Unimatrix-001 says:

Will this update to 1.1 and will Ocelots be available?
Good to hear on progress… ๐Ÿ˜›

  24. Doloni says:

    Hi Alblaka
Whenever you update the OP, could you please mark it with *edit* (or sth like that) and the date, so that we can know how recent your updates are? It’d be great for those who’re keeping an eye on this post so that we know when the next version will be released.
And in case no one told you, your mod is awesome.

  25. jackmnlol66 says:

the only bugs that I’m waiting for is the infinite armor bug and the one where seeds are invisible when you plant them on crops in SMP.

  26. john doe says:

I’m waiting for the quantum boot glitch where after entering a nether portal and using quantum leggings and jumping at the same time, the server kicks you.

  27. Shroo says:

is it possible to get a status update, maybe hear what bugs are currently wreaking havoc or how the closed testing is going?

  28. Ianangelo says:

Can you please make uranium ore smeltable in the next update? Because i have a mod that mines for me. And I noticed that when it mines uranium ore is recognized as a ore that when mined, it gives me the block itself and not the item. The mod is mice workers

  29. JAF says:

is the new height limit going to affect the jetpacks? like boosting the electric jetpacks flight ceiling or imposing a ceiling on the normal jetpack?

  30. JAF says:

well of-course we’re still in 1.1 i’m just hoping the update for 1.2 will boost the electric jetpacks flight ceiling because knowing there is that much space above you and you can only go like 20m above the ground is going to make the electric jetpack feel very broken.
