TE Bugs

Currently there’s a complicated Bug in relation to TileEntitys, probably caused by MCForge, which causes various malfunctions of quite all machines, if removed and replaced.

We’re working on  it.

edit: Forge version .57 appears to have fixed the issue.

PS:
And could people PLEASE stop spamming the same errorlog over and over again? USE THE GODDAMN CORRECT FORGE VERSION FOR JUCKS SAKE.

About 20 threads containing the same issue now. Close to start banning people for not bothering to read a single thread before posting their “entirely new” issue.

  3. mrgreaper says:

might be worth pointing out which forge version (im guessing 46 as thats the recommanded one at mo)

    • Alblaka says:

      You guessed wrong.
It’s stated in the “how to install” of the main release thread, version 52 is ned.

      • Creodor says:

Is 52 the only version, or are later ones okay as well? For instance, 55, 56?

      • mrgreaper says:

yep i see that now as i posted it i was talking in #mcportcentral and they corrected me, but i couldnt see how to stop the comment lol

just hoping with 1.2.4 coming this week the ports still get made for 1.2.3 everything is so much agro these days
minecraft updates with little warning (and far too frequantly i thought the pre releases were so they could kill bugs and let mod makers get a jump on things)
bukkit does beta builds that plugin devs dont all support and rarely do RBS anymore
        forge break stuff
modloadermp changed devs (1 time thing i know)
its no wonder the ports get delayed so much

i know that all comes across as ungreatful to a community that does amazing work for no financial gain and its really not ment that way its just frustration at mo

I dont want to Spam, as you complained,
but can you please give possibility also let IC² give also for patch by any mod manager?

It was also possible this oldfashioned way, but why do i have 20 mods to install by MC patcher easily while there is just one which is impossible for that?

Why to make things so complicated? Indeed there are many people who just try one time and then ask for help 🙂 but don’t we want this game and its mods to be enjoyed by much people?

Like was told by mrgreaper, MC is far from the promised official modsupport, in same kind they in fact hinder. And they earn monex while you guys do good work for free.

Should’nt the community then do its best to make playing MC easier (whith mods?) Thats what makes this gmae so amazing… you can do everything in a way….
And we should complain together a Mojang i think. Why not to male an online petition about better support?

They got started liek all here at small private gamemaking for fun. But if its true that MC is sold in millions, we should remember them at their own very beginning.

Last thought: It is in fact possible to find and read all original posts by mod authors. But if MC ist just am game, do i really need to do that? Who will not go the easier way an look at minecraft wiki first etc.? So indeed there is no need for you more than to give support only here… but is not both needed? A very pleasing!!! mod 🙂 and good support using it? You give so much people joy, by making that mod for free, why don’t you think about how to provide it to people easier, so your work is used by a bigger number, as instead complaining about such noobs using it? Did you have the intention only to deliver it to the very small greoup of people who really know whats going on?

I ask for forgiveness for weak english, but the slang and short forms in many MC places is also hard work for me 😛

    • Alblaka says:

Industrialcraft can, like any other mod, placed into the mods folder and will run.
Can’t see your point, unless MC patcher does strange things.

    • urusan says:

Simply rename the industrialcraft jar file to a zip file and MCPatcher will accept it.

      • urusan says:

Also, don’t install the Custom Colors mod that comes with MCPatcher, as MCForge has issues with it.

The bug was true, a proof was that when I destroyed my solar panel and replaced it with a geothermal generator on the same spot where the solar panel was. And when I opened the GUI it showed me the solar panel GUI instead of the geothermal GUI. And another one, I had an MFE, I destroyed the MFE and placed an MFSU near the spot where I destroyed the MFE, I tried to connect some cables and noticed that some cables were acting to be connected to my MFE that I destroyed. When I supplied energy to the MFSU and since the cables thought that the MFE was still there, it did a endless explosion

Is there a way to remove a tileEntity that’s stuck around? I just loaded my world with the updated mods, and it’s still there.
It prevents me from placing any blocks in the tile that once held a macerator, although it doesn’t prevent tools form hitting through it.
    Thanks in advance.

  8. Xelanthol says:

On a random note, can someone tell me wtf we do with bee hives?

    • Karach says:

Are you even sure this is related to IC2? Unless I’m grossly mistaken, there are no bees or bee hives in IC2. Though I’m sure I’ve seen some in the Forestry addon. *hint, hint * 🙂
